Portfolio

Spring Portfolio

Artist statement: My format for my spring project was depth with a leading line down the street, or taking pictures from high angles. I was initially going to keep all the pictures in black and white but the lighting and colors on a few of them were too good to put a filter on so I just kept them.

spring project 2

Artist statement:

This week I felt like just taking some nature, in urban environments just because it was a nice sunny day so I wanted to take pictures where light V dark or colors of plants vs sidewalks and stuff. I wanted a lot of contrast and balance.

portfolio

Artist statement: My strategy was take pictures of trees from a low angle to make them look even taller than they actually are, then edit them in black and white.

nature 1

Artist statement:
For my winter project I'm taking pictures of nature especially plants like flowers and trees. My strategy is take pictures of flowers close up so that they take up most of the frame. For trees stand either right under them or close the them so it takes up the whole frame and makes it seem like there are multiple plants and trees there.

Double exposure

For double exposure I took two pictures then faded one into another or mirrored the picture with different filters.

Slo-mo 2

For slow motion I school the camera violently before it had time to focus. I took the majority of the pictures of a hand dryer because of the colors.

Slo-mo 1

artist statement:

This week for slo-mo/motion blur what I did was just shake the camera around that it couldn't focus to get the motion blur and did the same with the lights, trying to  find ways to create different shapes with the lines, but for ones took a picture that was just dark and added stickers.
